Automatic insect fly control systems - design
Link: http://www.automist.com/livestock.html
Automatic insect control system are so versatile they can be installed conveniently at the time of new construction, when additions are added or in already existing areas to effectively reduce insect populations - automatically.
Horse Stable Installation
For the best control we recommend placing one (1) spray nozzle assembly in the center of each 10' x 10' to 12' x 12' stall and one (1) spray nozzle assembly near each aisleway door.
Nozzle assemblies are not needed in feed areas, wash areas or tack rooms - excellent control is accomplished by installing nozzle assemblies in areas that house horses only.
Nozzle assemblies down the aisleway area are not needed but can be added per customer request.
Dairy & Cattle Barn Installation
Holding areas and loafing sheds provide a good area for installation. Controlling insects in these areas provides a more comfortable atmosphere for livestock. Comfort often leads to increased production and higher yields.
One (1) spray nozzle assembly per 100 square feet with-in the interior of a shed or barn and one (1) spray nozzle assembly every 10 feet over any open side walls.
Kennel Installation
Both the interior and exterior areas of a kennel offer excellent spots for nozzle installations. Automatic spraying lowers mosquito and fly popualtions, thus adding comfort to animals.
Exterior: One (1) spray nozzle assembly per average length kennel run.
Interior: One (1) spray nozzle assembly for every 80 - 100 square feet.
Bed Bugs a growing problem
Link: http://www.bugpage.com/xcart/product.php?productid=16333&cat=250&page=1
Bed bugs are becoming a larger problem within residences of all kinds. Some areas include homes, apartments, hotels, cruise ships, dormitories and shelters.
Bed bugs are small and like to hide in small crevices, often times found in furniture, clothing, pillows, and other items. To limit the possibility, try to stay away from aquiriing used furniture, bed frames and mattresses. Bed bugs can survive for many months without feeding, bed bugs can be present in vacant or what look to be clean apartments.
Once and if bed bugs are confirmed to be present, a careful plan should be constructed to eliminate the bed bugs in a way that offers success.
How to apply deer repellents best
Some methods of controlling or repelling deer in the past have involved hanging human hair from branches of trees or using bars of soap to repel deer. These are not the most effective methods, deer have benn seen eating bars of soap.
There are two major type of commerically produced deer repellents, contact repellents and area repellents. Contact repellents are applied directly to the plant that is being protected which causes them to taste bad. Area repellents are placed in problem areas and repel by smelling bad.
Following label directions can give you the best effectiveness. Most repellets should be appliedon a dry day with the temperatures being above freezing. Younger trees need to be treat completly as deer love the tender young growth. Older trees are generally treated to a height of 6 feet above maximum expected winter snow depth. Deer browse from the top down so make sure to treat at the bud or new growth level of theplants you want to protect.
Moles can ruin your yard
Moles are woodland animals in nature, but can quickly colonize and spread through adjacent residential properties if not handled properly. Since they need a well-established tunnel network to survive, the longer they're allowed to tunnel, the more habituated they become and difficult to control.
Moles live most of their lives in underground tunnels, or runways, displayed as low ridges on the surface of yards, flowerbeds, gardens and other landscapes. Moles create these tunnels while in search of food, sometimes creating a vast interconnected "highway" system. Moles dig runways also to provide protection and living space for travel, resting, and nesting.
Mole tunnels are frequently found under fence lines and dirt roads, along sidewalks, under lawn turf, and along flowerbeds -- anywhere subterranean insect life is prolific. The main runways are usually about 6 inches under ground level, but may be as shallow as 2 inches or as deep as 20 inches. Shallow runways are usually used only once.
Moles come to the surface occasionally, mainly at night, to search for food, water, and nesting material. Migrations may occur overland also.

Epps Biting Fly Trap - No Chemicals, No baits
Link: http://www.bugpage.com/xcart/epps-biting-fly-trap.html
OVER 5000+ units sold.
Reduce Biting Flies by 80%. Kills 1 lb. of flies every day. NO MESSY BAITS...NO CHEMICALS, just add soapy water! A simple effective one time investment.
The Epps Biting Fly TrapTM is uniquely effective because it traps biting flies by using the flies own natural behavior patterns. Many biting flies are attracted to large objects of contrasting color to the surroundings because such objects tend to be potential hosts like cattle, deer, and horses. Also, biting flies such as stable flies, horse flies, green heads, deer flies, bull flies, and yellow flies tend to circle the host before actually landing to bite. The EPPS Trap takes advantage of these behaviors by providing a large, contrasting surface area, with transparent areas (which are actually clear plastic deflectors) representing air space between an animal’s legs and over its back through which the flies would normally circle before feeding. Flies see the deflectors as open spaces and try to fly through then. They hit the deflectors and ricochet into the soapy water in the trays below. Dish soap is added to the water in the trays to cause the flies to be wetted and drown faster.

The Worm Factory Compost Bin
Link: http://www.bugpage.com/xcart/the-worm-factory-3-tray-worm-composting-bins-green.html
THE WORM FACTORY COMPOSTER
The Worm Factory is a multi-tray worm composter that uses red wiggler worms to enhance compost while speeding up the process. Fill each stacking tray with food scraps, junk mail and other household waste. Worms start in the bottom tray and migrate upward as they break down the waste. This allows worms to separate themselves from the finished compost making it easy to add nutrient-rich fertilizer to plants and gardens without sorting worms. Additionally, nutrient-rich moisture is captured in the collection tray and can be drained as liquid fertilizer known as "worm tea".
Master gardeners agree that compost made by worms is the most beneficial for your garden and house plants. The Worm Factory®, by Cascade Sales Manufacturing Inc., uses an upward migrating design that makes producing this nutrient-rich "black gold" easy and effective!
Out of all worm composters, the Worm Factory® is the most efficient, producing the most compost in the least amount of space. This makes it perfect for anyone with indoor space limitations, especially apartments and condos! The stacking tray feature allows you to add up to seven trays to meet your growing compost needs.
As waste in the lower trays is converted to compost, worms migrate upward in search of sustenance. This means that when the lower trays are ready for your garden, most worms will have left that tray. This prevents you from having to go through trays, picking out worms by hand. Once a tray has been emptied, simply place the tray on the top of the worm factory and begin filling it again with waste. This cycling, stackable tray system also means the Worm Factory® can produce nutrient-rich compost and "worm tea" at a faster rate than traditional forms of composting.
Larvicides

Larvicides are insecticides that target larvae in the breeding habitat prior to the emergence of the adult form. As an active ingredient Summit incorporates Bacillus thurengiensis subsp. Israelensis (Bti) in multiple formulations. Bti is a target specific bacteria discovered in the deserts of Israel . This non-living, non-viable bacteria is one effective and environmentally benign larvicides utilized in insect control. Deadly to mosquitoes when ingested by its larvae, and that of the other typical pest flies of the insect family Diptera (true flies), professional applicators and homeowners alike can be sure they will not adversely harm non-target organisms.
