Extremely low doses of spray material...if applied correctly...will effectively stop and prevent damage from insects, plant disease and weeds. Check the label on a bottle of pesticide. Typically, directions call for just a teaspoon or two per gallon of water. With the right sprayer, a gallon of material goes a very long way.

Unlike a hand held tank sprayer, you'll have both hands free for spraying since the liquid product will be supported on your back.

A Backpack sprayer is an inexpensive and effective way of applying herbicides, insecticides, fertilizers and other chemicals delivered in a liquid medium. They are simple units with basic components consisting of the tank with pressure gauge, a pump to pressurize the tank, a hand held spray wand with trigger grip and a spray head nozzle. Often a back pack sprayer can have different spray nozzels attached to the spray wand. The spray nozzle you select will depend upon the situation and product you're spraying. Always consult manufacturer's spray directions before using a backpack sparyer. Finally, a good back sprayer will also have an agitation unit necessary for wettable powders.
