The working principle of ULV Cold Misting or Fogging is to have a sprayer generating fog droplets by using a high volume of air at low pressure, in which the output is droplets of more precise size. The absence of a large number of very small droplets will limit the penetration of the fog into highly obstructed areas. ULV fogger sprayers can generate formulations in a more concentrated form since less diluents is required.

ULV cold misters or foggers need the ability to calibrate the machine to produce droplets of the optimum size for the type of chemical being used or when a heavy application is needed, ULVcold misters or fogger spraying method should be your choice whenever possible.

Method of eliminating of mosquitoes in the adult stage is called Adulticiding. This can be accomplished with the use of ultra low volume (ULV) foggers. ULV cold misters or foggers use a very small amount of pesticide mixed with a large volume of air to produce a cloud of microscopic droplets that impinge onto and kill flying mosquitoes.

A larger droplet generated out of ULV cold misters or foggers will sink or settle faster, keeping your insecticide close to the ground where it is needed the most. Smaller droplets are desired for fogging indoors; the small droplets tend to float longer for better coverage in a house, warehouse, restaurant or other structure.
