Migrate is used to repel geese on turf areas such as golf courses, lawns, parks, athletic fields, cemeteries or other areas where birds graze. Migrate is a micro-encapsulated product which can be mixed with water. Approved for use in all fifty states.
Active ingredient is Methyl Anthranilate which provides a non-lethal method of controlling Canadian geese. Methyl Anthranilate is a food grade repellent which exceeds US Food Chemical Codex specifications and is classified as Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) by the Expert Panel of the Flavor & Extract Manufacturers Association. Methyl Anthranilate is an additive to foods, food flavors and fragrances and is used as a flavoring agent in beverages, ice creams, candy, gelatins, puddings and chewing gum.

Apply Migrate at a rate of 2.5 gal/acre diluted with water (25 - 70 gal/acre) for turf of 4-6" height. For best results the area treated should be dry and freshly mowed. Do not mow the treated area for several days following treatment. Apply during conditions that favor prompt drying, bet if applied in morning or evening.
If an effective level of Migrate has been achieved it will be evident in the behavior of the birds. RejeX-it Migrate must be applied before nesting begins. Repeat application as often as every four days.
Application tips:
- Don’t use with too much water. Do not spray to the point of run off.
- The grass should be mowed before application.
- Longer turf will increase the amount of repellent required to be effective and could require additional treatments of Migrate to obtain desired effects. Shorter turf will decrease the amount of Migrate spray mixture required to repel geese.
- Application to dry turf
- Avoid application just prior to rain. Allow the product to dry on the leaf surface (approx 3 hours).
- Any harassment method used before the application of Rejex-it® Migrate should be continued to accelerate the departure of the geese during the time the grass is unpalatable.
- Any feeding of the birds negates all efforts for success.
- For best results, begin treatment as soon as the geese arrive and before they begin nesting.
RATES:
The label directions are for the maximum usage allowed. Therefore the rates are for turf of 3-4" height. For turf that is shorter refer to the table for the proper application rates.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW LONG IS MIGRATE EFFECTIVE?
One application can last up to 2-3 weeks. If applied properly, the geese should leave within the first two days. Additional applications are necessary if new flocks start to invade the area.
HOW MUCH SHOULD I USE?
As an aversion agent, the major consideration is to thoroughly apply a concentration of Rejex-it® MIGRATE on the turf covering each blade of turf . It is important that the spray covers the turf as completely as possible. For best results, the use of 2-1/2 gallons of MIGRATE per acre is recommended.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Rejex-it® MIGRATE makes the turf unpalatable to geese, similar to how strong cayenne pepper affects a human. The MIGRATE odor itself does not affect the birds. The geese must eat treated turf to experience the "taste" aversion.
WHAT WILL I SEE?
If you apply an effective level of Rejex-it® MIGRATE it will be evident in the behavior of the geese. When they graze and taste treated turf, they have been observed shaking their heads and leaving the area or heading for water to rid themselves of the Rejex-it® MIGRATE. If they try to feed again on the treated area, the response is much faster and they usually leave the area to locate a more palatable food.
HOW CAN I IMPROVE ITS EFFECTIVENESS?
Combination with other techniques can greatly enhance its effectiveness. After applying Rejex-it® MIGRATE to the turf, use Mylar tape or just white flags to mark the area. This will alert the geese to caution. In this cautious state they are far more responsive to the Rejex-it® MIGRATE. If you have been using audible scare devices, continue; it helps to make them more alert and therefore increases the effectiveness to MIGRATE. |
